Places to Visit in Kashipur
You can start the journey to Kashipur from the famous religious places here, Chaiti Devi Temple is counted among the famous temples, which have mythological significance. It is one of the 51 Shaktipeeths, which also belong to the Mahabharata period.
Every year during Navratri, grand events are held, which devotees come from far and wide to participate. The Chaiti Mela organized here is quite famous. It is believed that the legendary name of this place was Govisharan.

According to local legend, at one time there was a great outbreak of the Dhela river, which caused great devastation every year when Guru Nanak entered here, the villagers were on the verge of leaving their homes in search of a safe place.
It is believed that when people chanted the Kirtan and touched the feet of Nanak Dev Ji, the river itself calmed down, after which there was never a flood situation.

The Kashipur railway station is under the administrative control of the Izatnagar division of the North Eastern Railway zone of the Indian Railways. The Lalkuan – Ramnagar / Moradabad railway line was inaugurated on 11 January 1906. This railway line started from Lalkuan on the Bareilly-Kathgodam line and reached Kashipur via Gulbarbhoj, Bajpur, and Sarka.
